Caring for your baby Alpaca fur made from natural fibers<\/h3>\n

The more carefully the furs are cared for, the better they will meet the requirements for comfort and durability.<\/p>\n

Alpaca fur care instructions and general tips<\/strong><\/h6>\n

In winter it is always highly recommended to spread the fur on the snow and thus give it a \u201cnatural\u201d cleaning. A few hours on the snow cleans the fur gently and at the same time it is nearby for use again. Alpaca fur also has natural protection against water, but it may get a little damp in the snow, however it dries very quickly. With this type of cleaning, the snow crystals combine with the dirt in the fur and remain on the snow after a few hours. <\/p>\n

To prevent the leather on the underside from becoming brittle, we recommend avoiding exposure to strong temperature fluctuations. For example, avoid bringing the furs from a cold outdoor area directly into the house and placing them near a heater. It is also advisable not to expose the furs to a constant, very warm temperature, such as directly on the floor heating. Placing the hide outside on foggy days with the front side up will keep the leather supple and prevent it from becoming brittle. When storing your fur, always ensure it is not damp and avoid storing it in a location that is too humid or too hot.<\/p>\n

Cleaning<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Dust can be easily removed by shaking and vacuuming. If something is spilled on the fur becomes dirty, it can be easily wiped and removed with a warm, damp cloth. Since alpaca wool is similar in composition to human hair, a little hair shampoo can be applied to the damp cloth to remove dirt. Wool detergent or soap foam can also be used.<\/p>\n

We recommend not immersing the entire product in water, as the fur is attached to a fine leather with a thick cotton backing. If the backside becomes too wet, the leather may become brittle, and if the blanket does not dry thoroughly, the seams could potentially come loose.<\/p>\n

If thorough cleaning is necessary, we recommend having the alpaca blanket cleaned by a fur expert or at a professional tannery.<\/p>\n

Revitilizing<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Since our baby alpaca skins are natural products, they should have a long lifespan if well cared for. However, fur products that are constantly in use, such as: B. the seat cushion, can show signs of wear over time the whereby the wool looks pressed. To freshen up your fur we recommend using a sturdy dog brush with a good grip and long metal pins:<\/p>\n

If the wool looks worn, you can brush it by placing your hand firmly on the surface of the fur with your fingers together and your thumb spread apart. Then the brush can work through the wool in small, even strokes within the V between the index finger and thumb.<\/p>\n

If the wool is matted at the ends, avoid pulling out the wool by gently holding the underside of the wool shaft and carefully brushing out the matted tips. Always remember to apply a firm pressure to the surface to avoid tearing the leather backing.<\/span><\/p>\n
